Columbia College Chicago – Social Media and Digital Strategy Ad Campaign
This project was created by using Adobe InDesign. I created three ads for Columbia College Chicago in their Social Media and Digital Strategy Department, as well as three courses it provides. The first ad is for the program itself and the last two are for courses that they offer within that department.
Silhouetting
Using Photoshop, I composited two photos together. The background photo is a stock photo of the staircase to heaven in Hawaii. The photo of me was taken on a beach in St. Kitts back in December of 2019.
Restoration
By using Photoshop, I was able to restore this image using the clone stamp, patch, dodge, and burn tools.
Infographic
This project was created to put to the test our skills so far learned with InDesign. The topic that I chose was the suggest one which was serial killers. We had to make an infographic representing our topic and had to use characteristics that described them. I chose to use their name, country the killings…
Multimedia
This project was to create a video showing the process (how to) of an event, with photos. In this project, I decided to make a how to video on how to make a timelapse with a DSLR. This was created using opening and closing credits, captions on each image, and sound to keep the viewers…
Replication
This project consisted of using Adobe InDesign and a variety of the tools it provides to replicate a magazine cover. The font used was Times for serif type and Helvetica for sans-serif type.
Color Composition
This composition was created by applying color to the word oppression. I thought about which shapes and colors will be best to represent this emotion abstractly and realistically. The yellow circle represents ones self who is oppressed and the lines around it represents external influences holding in it captive.
Black & White Composition
In this project, we created a composition only using black, white and gray. This was to start practicing how to create a design that is well-balanced but also eye catching. We kept this project basic and used simple shapes like squares, rectangles, circles, triangles, etc.. The key to this visual was to provide a focal…
Website Event Portfolio
This project was to create a website post using a header, navigation, content, footer, and a logo. By keeping a clean design with high contrast, I aimed for more focus on the content rather than the whole design of site. I used my own photos to create a portfolio for future clients and a place…
